This yoga nidra meditation was created for the Blue Moon, a rare full moon that carries an extra charge of lunar energy, and is designed to be practiced around the time of any full moon.
The session opens with physiological sighs to release tension, then moves into a full body scan using a technique where you place a little point of light at each part of the body as your awareness passes through it. By the end of the scan, the whole body is glowing.
From there, the practice centres on intention. Before the body scan, you're invited to identify one word your heart is calling in: clarity, peace, joy, or whatever arises, and form it into a short sankalpa, a heartfelt statement in the present tense. You plant this intention twice: once at the start, once toward the close of the session, while bathed in lunar light.
The visualisation guides you to imagine a luminous full moon above you, its light showering down, moving through the body, carrying out anything you're ready to release. You absorb this energy, recharge from the inside out, and return the intention one final time before being gently guided back.
Rosalie's voice brings you fully back at the end of the session.
Running time: approximately 40 minutes. Best experienced with headphones.
